Jai Hind

(A copy of The Indian Express which carried the 'spook' story)

It's common knowledge that an Army coup is impossible in India for it's no Pakisthan.I don't think an imminent Military coup was the point which 'The Indian Express' tried to make either.Anyways all zz not well between the Army and the Government and I seriously believe 'debureaucratization' of the defence forces is the need of the hour.Personally know Defence personnels who are genuinely pissed with the existing scheme of things.Strategic planning and important decisions regarding country's internal and external security being taken by IAS babus(who have no formal Military training)doesn't make sense to me either. What do you think?

Ps-Also read this,this,this and this.

Never thought about this... It true.. however you cannot deny that the IAS has to qualify a very tough tough exam to get their post.
So, i guess people to make it to IAS are eligible enough.. dont you think the same??

Could`nt agree more. Not only the bureaucrats have screwed the country in every sphere possible, they have been playing with National Security for petty gains. They have always clipped the armed forces by intimidating the political class with the 'C' word...!!

Madhulika....

IAS is a pretty tough exam.I do agree..But that doesn't make them eligible to 'plan' and decide on matters about which they have no idea about. Our beaureaucrats are doing great in matters concerning with cicil administeration but i certainly don't believe they are qualified enough to decide on matters concerning with national security.IAS officers deciding on military policies, arms deal and national security is akin to an Allopathic(doc of modern medicine/mbbs/md) doc prescribing Veterinary medicines for a german shepherd.don't you think so?

Can you ask an IIT/IIM graduate to cure a cardiac patient just because he/she has cracked a difficult exam early in life? or even can a high profile cardiologist be made the CEO of a financial firm?
So let me say that the eligibility criteria to safe guard our nation is not about cracking any exam...!
