The yesteryear classic 'Rathi Nirvedam'(Bharathan,P.Padmarajan) is getting remade with Shwetha Menon(oops!) and new comer Sreejith(remember 'living together'?) in the lead.T.K. Rajeevkumar who hasn't made a decent film since his debut(except for a 'Kannezhuthi Pottum thottu','Pavithram') 'Chanakyan' is behind this 'crime'.Being jobless is a horrible thing,we know;but why can't these 'out of work' directors spare classics like 'Rathinirvedam'?

havent u heard of movies called Pavithram, Shesham, Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu, etc?? I'm not in support of the remake either. But to say Rajiv Kumar hasnt made a decent film since his debut is sheer ignorance!!
of the three you have mentioned , kannezhuthi pottum thottu was good, trhe other two, well ,i founs them as a bit too melodramatic....
melodrama is part and parcel of indian storytelling, my friend. and i dont think pavithram or shesham were that melodramatic. they were very well made films, both content wise and technically also.
@vivek,
i do respect your views.
