The telephone made that irritating 'Queaking noise' and rang for more than one minute in the other end of the line and it got automatically disconnected after that.I tried again (though i could visualise in mind, the pic of my friend ,lying in the Local police station Lock up ,beaten up to pulp , wearing a Torn under wear ,blaming himself for all these jhagada: obviously it made no sense whatsoever to think that he will actually pick up his home land line number!). But to my dismay, somebody actually picked up the phone this time and it was my friend himself. He was elated, and in such a happy mood as if he had won a Super Lotto jackpot or something. He said
" മച്ചൂ,നീ അറിഞ്ഞില്ലേ,എന്റെ സമയം തെളിഞ്ഞെട......."
The jovial mood in his voice and the excitement with which he delivered each word which was quite evident, made me think about his mental status. It's quite natural for a human being to get disturbed after so much of mental turmoil. He must be in some kind of 'weird ' delusion. The police might have tortured him so much that he lost his orientation in relation to space, time and person.....I let my imagination run wild.... But soon I was proved wrong..The fact was that after that incident, he had turned to be a star over night. After all, he is a 'brave student' activist who belongs to a party which is inquisite enough to find out the dirty hands of the United states behind issues ranging from 'the missing of a sanitary pad 'from a woman's hand bag to a 'case of obstructed labour',who fearlessly fought against the iron fists of the self financing Nursing College management who somehow resulted in the suicide of the student..In a state where the courts and the law would take months to figure out what made the girl suicide,it's the perogative of every 'true' student activist to protest against the 'killer'managements....!Any ways, the guy seemed extremely happy about his new found celebrity status and deliverd a short speech over the phone citing 6 important points regarding the educational system in the state of Kerala...I am posting them here and enlightening my dear readers too....
1. All the problems in the Educational sector in kerala can be either directly or indirectly related to the Private Self Financing Lobby in the state..For instance, the lack of water supply in Govt.Medical College,Thrissur is due to the over use of the water supply by the other two private medical colleges in the same district.
2.The private Medical colleges are at par with the Govt.Colleges when coming to the Number of patients visiting the OPD as well as the IPD,but the real issue is the exceedingly High free structure in these Private Colleges.
3.All the Government colleges in the state are well equipped ,and this has helped us(the student activists like me) to devote our entire time in working for the upliftment of the private college students.
4.All the student suicides in the state can be either directly or indirectly related to the Private /Self Financing Management and the cause must be in evitaby ragging. The government must stop spending extra time and money probing into these cases.
5.The students have every right to use mobile phones according to their wish and every student should be awarded atleast one mobile phone with camera during the time of admission to the college as it is a good 'ediucational' tool.
6.Student strikes and agitation mean 'bunking' from classes and 'destroying Public Property'.

yet another instance of the misuse of campus politics... Obviously, no political party would take any action to curb such activities as campuses are considered as recruitment camps for young blood in the parties... the plight of our educational sector is just disheartening...
